Gem Stones Rosette Panel Pillows

Over the last few months, I’ve had the opportunity to partner with amazing fabric designers, including Riley Blake Designs. Here, I used Gerri Robinson’s Gem Stones Rosette Panel in Black and wanted to create some quilted pillows. The panel is 38” x 38” and gives so much room for versatility.

I love this panel because it’s a beautiful piece with so many colors, you can use it for just about anything - bags, pillows, shams, table runners, the possibilities are infinite! I decided to go with throw pillow covers.

I created 18” blocks from the panel and used those as my block to quilt. Using batting and muslin for a backing, I created a basic quilting style that I used my domestic machine for. I did a 1” lines across the diagonal of the fabric. I went back on the opposite diagonal to create the quilted squares.

I am absolutely thrilled with how these turned out! I will be using them eventually in my new home! (We’re getting ready to move house soon!) There are so many color combinations to create your own unique design.
