Tumbled Triangles

Are you longing for sandy walks on the beach? I know I am! That was the inspiration behind my color choices for this version of my Tumbled Triangles Quilt Pattern for the Riley Blake Designs - Make it Modern Project Tour.

Where we live, you’ve got to travel miles and miles before reaching any type ocean water in all directions! and Oklahoma wind creates its own challenges!

I used Riley Blake Designs Confetti Cottons in Beach, Cottage, Deep Water and Emerald City. I just love the effect of the half and quarter square triangles has created with this color palette, I can smell the salt water and feel the sand between my toes.

The quilting design reminded me of pebbles in the sand that have been smoothed out by the ocean waves.
