Make It Modern with Riley Blake Designs

This month, for Make It Modern with Riley Blake Designs, I wanted to feature the Bee Basics fabrics, along with the Sweet Leaf - a quilt pattern by Finley Fabric.

I chose to use Bee Basics Blossom in Alpine, Nutmeg, Pink, and Raisin and, Tiny Daisy in Macaroni, Pebble, Red, and Teal. For background fabric, I chose Confetti Cotton White. I admit that sometimes I'm not the best at picking complementary fabrics, but the Bee Basics made it so easy because they are all bright and pop with this design so well.

I love this quilt design by Laura at Finley fabric because it is so versatile, you could do it with an ombre effect, or a rainbow style, or my favorite, is the scrappy style.

I love collaborating with other designers because I get to explore other quilt design styles and it pushes me out of my comfort zone, allowing me to grow as a quilter.
